PTSW Launches Summer Scholarship Donation Drive!
NOW'S YOUR CHANCE TO HELP A STUDENT like Logan (pictured here, a scholarship recipient for the 2022-23 season) attend one of our 12-week intensive courses! We’re making a special scholarship push to raise $8,500 in the two-week window running through June 21.
Fundraising for scholarships is a year-round process for PTSW, but right now we’re focusing on one scholarship for one class. Your gift today to the PTSW Scholarship Fund will allow us to increase access to fine woodworking education for a diverse population of makers, many of whom could not easily afford to attend one of our courses. Please donate now!
We’re currently reviewing applications for the Foundations of Woodworking intensive that runs from Sept. 25 to Dec. 15. Soon we’ll start reviewing applications for two intensives that start in January: Foundations of Woodworking and Traditions of Furniture. We’d love to have another scholarship to assist a student in financial need for one of these courses.
PTSW is committed to providing opportunities for people of all backgrounds and identities to participate in our woodworking programs. We hear time and time again how our classes have changed people’s lives. Students gain new confidence, and many have found professional satisfaction and success in the woodworking trades.
This year, PTSW has pledged to grant at least $100,000 to scholarship recipients in every one of our classes. That includes weekend and weeklong classes, as well as our two-month and three-month intensive courses. You can help!
We rely on generous donors like you to fund this scholarship program, so here’s your opportunity to invest in our mission of providing a “diverse, safe, and excellent woodworking education for all,” with the return coming in the form of satisfaction and pride that you have made a difference in somebody’s life.
Help us meet this goal and further PTSW’s mission today. Your donation in any amount will open the door to the world of creative opportunities for a new generation of woodworkers.
