C∴PATRICK MOORE has more than ten years of accredited schooling from around the world. A member of the Timber Framers Guild, the International Log Builders Association and the prestigious Compagnons Du Devoir where in 2013 he became the first person from the western hemisphere to be received as a Compagnon Passant Charpentier Du Devoir in France. This is where he completed his masters with the esteemed Association Ouvrière des Compagnons du Devoir du Tour de France and La Grande Ecole Des Hommes de Metier en Compagnonnage, a private university in France. He obtained his Canadian recognized Red Seal carpentry certificate in 2009 and two diplomas; one in heritage masonry and the other in heritage carpentry. 

Patrick’s masterpiece (thesis to be accepted as a Compagnon) was on display for two years at the Musée du Compagnonnage in Tours, France, then was on exhibition at the Musée des Maîtres et Artisans du Québec in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for a few years, and is now currently at the Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum in Kobe, Japan along with several other pieces. 

Patrick specializes in historical and traditional carpentry practices and has worked around the world on nationally and internationally classified historical sites. Patrick’s extensive portfolio includes work on two UNESCO classified world heritage sites, numerous Federally classified historical monuments in Europe and North America, ranging from the rebuilding of a cathedral, restoration of monasteries, abbeys, churches, hotels, and private residences, as well as, new construction of luxury high-end private residences and commercial, institutional, and governmental projects. 

He has published articles for the Timber Framers Journal, Scantlings, Mortise and Tenon, and The Woodworker's Journal. In 2014 he founded and created The Professional School of Practical Stereotomy, a small private school located in Ottawa; it is unique in the English speaking world for students to be given the experience in the UNESCO classified knowledge of practical stereotomy. 

The knowledge of stereotomy, as it’s used by carpenters, has been inscribed onto the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2009. Students come from around the world to Patrick’s school and are able to obtain up to a master’s certificate, either online or on location. He has developed and delivered workshops, seminars, lectures, and professional development courses around the world to professionals, teachers, professors, and trainers, and invited to speak at national and international conferences as a keynote speaker and guest lecturer.
