Chris Landingin
Chris believes that skill sharing connects us to our environment and to each other. Each of us can pursue our crafts and interests and through open communication and practicing interdependence, we can knit a resilient community.
After studying Anthropology and Human Development at UCLA, Chris began her building career in the exhibit workshops of the Smithsonian. Wanting to shift preservation focus from artifacts to relationships and ecologies, she became an intern at the Yestermorrow Design/Build School in Vermont, where she earned her Sustainable Design Certificate. Chris moved to Seattle and became a residential design/build remodeler. In her ten years in Seattle, she has worked in cabinet shops, on remodels from foundation through finish, and managed projects as well as several build teams.
Joining the Port Townsend School of Woodworking instructors, Chris hopes to continue the dance of learning and teaching, preserving traditions and pursuing discovery.
